The VFD550i is a dedicated servo drive specifically engineered for injection moulding machine applications. It features a built-in hydraulic control macro that provides integrated pressure and flow closed-loop control, eliminating the need for external PID controllers.
The drive is available in a wide power range from 5.6A to 152A at 380V, covering everything from small to large injection moulding machines. Encoder compatibility is another strong point. The drive works with resolver, ABZ incremental encoders, and ABZUVW incremental encoders, making it adaptable to both asynchronous and permanent magnet synchronous motors.
In terms of I/O, the drive offers three analog inputs – AI1 for pressure command, AI2 for flow command, and AI3 for pressure sensor feedback – plus analog outputs for seamless system integration.
